TIKKA MASALA spice powder$6.00
murgh tikka masala
The cross-cultural popularity of this dish in the United Kingdom led former Labour foreign secretary, Robin Cook, to proclaim it as Britain’s true ‘national’ dish. If you are dairy intolerant, please substitute the cream and yoghurt with coconut milk. The image below will show you that you can also use this spice as a rub with some sea salt and oil then oven bake or grill. In the image, we have simply used our spice as a rub, then grilled the chicken and served with a pilaf.
Use our alternative recipe for this spice: Spicy Vegetable Pulao (printed on inside cover of our new packs).
- 1/2 cup fresh cream (omit if you want a spicier curry)
- 1 stalk fresh coriander
- 1 kg cubed chicken thighs (use half this spice pack)
- 400 g tomatoes
- 1/2 cup yoghurt
- 2 large onions
- sea salt
