achari gosht

PICKLE CURRY -  Literally translated Achar means pickle and Gosht means meat.  This curry although not a pickle has a similar blend of  fragrant spices that are used in pickles.  It also has a tartness that is reminiscent of a preserve.  Traditionally lamb is used but you may use chicken, beef or pork instead.

  • 1.5 kg shoulder lamb
  • 400 g tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 2 green chillies (for garnish, optional)
  • 2 stalks fresh coriander leaves
